What are Fluftrodons?
Fluftrodons are a raptor-like species with paintbrushes as ears and on their tail. They can spray ink using their tail brush which can have magical effects!
Lore
They live on a planet similar to our own, but far smaller, yet with slightly higher gravity due to a molten tungsten core. They mainly live in small settlements, rarely in small cities up to 10,000 inhabitants. Magic is part of their everyday lives, as well as their ink, which often dictates their profession, but mages can change a fluf's ink type they so desire. Art also has extreme importance in fluf society, though they generally follow the principle of function over form, they do like to decorate and paint everything. Flufs are a peaceful species, only defending from aggressors, never attacking by themselves. A respected profession in fluf society is that of an adventurer. These flufs use portals to venture into other worlds, often bringing back valuable knowledge, artifacts, and making contact with societies from other worlds to help each other through an exchange of knowledge and resources that may be scarce in one, but plentiful in another world.
Appearance
Fluftrodons are bipedal, raptor-like creatures made of ink.
A Fluftrodons body is covered in feathers that can range from very fluffy to very silky and smooth with an unlimited amount of colours and patterns. They are commonly
155-165 cm in height, though some Fluftrodons can be smaller or even taller. A spiky backplate can be seen on their back in the shape of a shield, used for protection. The most recognizable feature on a fluf is their paintbrushes! Their ear paintbrushes are highly sensitive and are great for hearing while the paintbrush on the end of their large tails are used for inking. Some Flufs are known to have fountain pen claws that can be used to write with.
•Feral Fluftrodons have raptor-like anatomy and are about as tall as horses, while anthro Fluftrodons are much smaller, with around 155-165 cm in height.•Their ears and tail are based on paintbrushes. The tail brush can be used to paint.•Their skin is covered in fluffy feathers besides their back, which has a spikey backplate in the shape of a shield.•Their fingers end in fountain pen nibs, which can generate black ink that they can use to write
Brushes
•Fluftrodons have paintbrushes as their ears and tail that can be based on real ones or something completely made up while also being able to have unlimited sets.•They can hear very well, making them more aware of their surroundings.•The ear brushes are quite sensitive to touch and if covered fully, they won't be able to hear.
Ink
•Fluftrodons can use their tail to paint, using their blood as their ink, which then goes directly into their tail brush.•In addition to the normal ink they produce, they can also use ink that has magic abilities.
